This weekend is such a special time for us to remember all that Jesus has done for us.
On Friday, we remember Jesus giving his life for us. He died on the cross. Whilst it is sad that Jesus died, we call this day "Good" because Jesus died for a good reason. He died so that we might have forgiveness for sin.
BUT...
Jesus didn't stay dead. He was buried in a tomb on the Friday evening, but on the Sunday morning that tomb was empty. Jesus rose again.
And because Jesus lives, we will live.
What a wonderful Saviour - that he loved us so much that he would die for us. And that he has power over sin and death and makes it possible for us to have forgiveness and eternal life.
That's awesome.
This week's Bible story has four readings - maybe read one each day over the weekend. Read them aloud with another family member.
You can find these verses in your Bible or look them up on Bible Gateway.
Luke 23:44-49
Luke 23:50-56
Luke 24:1-12
